Knox was brought into the radio world after winning a 12 pack of beer from Creedence, who was working at WYAV in Myrtle Beach. After being fired for consuming the said 12 pack of beer on the job at a local restaurant kitchen, he pestered Creed to get him “in the door” for a possible job in radio. It worked.

After months of grunt work and making many mistakes, Knox eventually ended up on-air doing a Sunday morning shift. (This is where people who suck at radio are put while they hopefully improve their skills) He was eventually suspended for ruining a major ticket giveaway that the Morning show was about to launch the next day. After returning from suspension, Knox got his first taste of prime time radio, holding down the 7-midnight shifts. Thus began the relentless tormenting on behalf of the Creedence and Bishop Show at Knox’s expense.

One night was so bad Knox got a police escort to his car, believing that a crazed fan was going to get him, but it was only Bishop putting on a voice.The radio biz eventually screwed Knox out of his job after the firing of his Program Director, but some believe it might have been his drinking issue at station events that lead to the end. With a damaged ego Knox left for a marketing job in Philadelphia, that job didn’t last long either. Then he worked at a shit ton of places including TV Guide, Pizza shops, Car dealerships everywhere Knox went Knox fucked up. So he came back down south to mooch off mommy & daddy for awhile, then one day he received a call from Creedence informing him of an opening at his station WXQR. Can you guess what happened? Knox fucked that up too, but most of it was not his fault, in a short 3 months. Are you seeing a common theme with Knox… he is a fuck up and that’s why C&B love him.
